Terms
The terms for all LFT services, in plain English. Please read them before you agree to a quote.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are between you and Luke, a sole trader trading as LFT (“I”, “me”). They apply when you accept a written quote from me for any of the services below.
My services are for businesses and organisations. If you're buying as a private individual, not for a business, please tell me before you agree, as different rules apply.
If your written quote (or, for a custom tool, the written description) says something different from these terms, the quote or description wins.

2. The services and prices
Prices include everything; no VAT. I'm not VAT-registered.
Website: £199 one-off
A website of up to 5 pages that works well on mobile phones, with a contact form, a tap-to-call button, your real reviews with links to where they were left, set up on Google search, and your first year's .co.uk web address included. You see it before it goes live and can ask for reasonable changes. Your website is hosted free on an account in your own name, so you always own it, with or without a monthly plan.
Fix my website: from £75 one-off
Repairs or a refresh for an existing website, or adding tap-to-call, a contact form or your reviews. I'll give you a fixed price in writing before I start. If the job turns out bigger than expected, I'll ask before doing any extra work.
Essential plan: £25/month
I look after your website: security and updates, small changes of up to 30 minutes a month, and a monthly check that everything works. A website I build stays on free hosting in your own name either way. Unused time doesn't carry over to the next month. Bigger changes are quoted separately first.
Growth plan: £35/month
Everything in the Essential plan, plus one small design job each month (a social media post, flyer, poster or price-list update) and one post a month on your Google Business Profile. For the post, you add LFT as a manager of your profile; you stay the owner and can remove that access at any time. An unused design job doesn't carry over to the next month.
Design & print items
Business card design £25; letterhead and compliments slip £25; email signature £15; simple logo (clean, text- or icon-based) £60; social media pack £30; flyer, poster or leaflet £30; menu or price list £35; Google Business Profile setup or tidy-up £35; “scan to review us” cards and signs £15; quote and invoice templates £20.
Brand Starter Pack: £99
A simple logo, business cards, letterhead and compliments slip, email signature and social media pack.
Custom tools: from £300
Simple web tools such as quote calculators, booking request or order forms, customer portals, and simple stock or staff systems. A simple tool is from £300, and bigger tools are £750 to £1,500. A monthly support plan is from £20/month. The exact price and what's included are set out in the written description (see section 5). I don't build phone apps for the App Store or Google Play.
Extras
Missed-call text-back and review-request messages are available on request. I'll give you the price in writing before you decide.
Web addresses (domains)
Your web address is always registered in your name. With a website, the first year of a .co.uk address is included. After that it renews once a year at the registrar's standard price, which you pay. I'll remind you before it's due. If you already have a web address, we'll use that.
3. Seeing the work and asking for changes
- You see websites before they go live, and designs before they're final or printed.
- Design items include two rounds of changes. A round means you send me all the changes you'd like in one go, and I make them. Further rounds, or a completely new direction, are quoted first, and nothing extra is charged without your OK.
- For websites and fixes, you can ask for reasonable changes before the site goes live.
4. Printing
- LFT is design only. You get print-ready files that you can use with any printer.
- If you ask me to, I'll order printing for you from an online printer at cost: you pay exactly what the printer charges, including delivery, with nothing added. Printing is paid before I place the order.
- You approve the final design before anything is printed. Please check spelling, phone numbers and prices carefully: once you've approved it, reprints are at your cost unless the mistake was mine.
- The printer is responsible for print quality and delivery under its own terms. If something goes wrong, I'll help you sort it out with them.
- LFT never holds stock.
5. Custom tools: the written description
- Before any work starts, I write a description of exactly what the tool will do: who uses it, what each screen does, what it stores, what it won't do, the price and when it will be ready. Work starts only when you've agreed it in writing.
- Anything not in the written description is extra. If you'd like it, I'll give you the price first.
- You test the tool before it goes live. I'll fix anything that doesn't do what the description says, at no extra cost.
- The monthly support plan keeps the tool running, secure and working, and I check its running costs each month. The tool runs in accounts in your own name. Changes beyond that are quoted first.
6. Payment
- Website and Custom tools: half up front, when you accept the quote or written description, and half when it goes live.
- Fix my website: half up front, and half when the changes go live.
- Design items and the Brand Starter Pack: paid up front.
- Monthly plans and support plans: paid monthly in advance, starting when your website or tool goes live (or when you start the plan, if it's for an existing site).
- I send invoices by email. They're due within 14 days, by bank transfer.
- If a monthly payment is more than 14 days late, I'll remind you. If it's still unpaid 14 days after that, I may pause the service until it's paid.
7. Monthly plans and cancelling
- Monthly plans (Essential, Growth and support plans) are rolling monthly. There's no minimum term. Either of us can cancel with one month's notice by email.
- When a plan ends, your website or tool stays in your own accounts, so nothing needs moving. I'll remove my access, and give you a copy of the files if you ask. For the Growth plan, please remove LFT's manager access to your Google Business Profile (I'll remind you how).
- One-off work: if you cancel before I start, I'll refund anything you've paid in full. If you cancel after I've started, I'll keep only what covers the work already done and refund the rest.
8. What I need from you
- Accurate information about your business, and replies to my questions within a reasonable time.
- Words, photos and logos that you own or have permission to use.
- Access to your existing website, domain or Google Business Profile where needed, by adding me as a user or manager. Please don't send me your passwords.
- For review-request messages: making sure you're allowed to message your customers, which means telling them, when you take on a job, that they may get a message asking for a review and giving them the chance to say no.
9. Who owns what
- Your web address is registered in your name and is yours.
- Your content (your words, photos, logo and reviews) is always yours.
- Websites, fixes and custom tools: once you've paid in full, the website or tool I made or fixed for you is yours to keep, move or change, and I'll give you a copy of the files if you ask.
- Designs and logos: once you've paid in full, the copyright in the final designs I made for you passes to you, and you can use them however you like. If a design uses a font or image that comes with its own licence, I'll tell you, and only use ones you're allowed to use for your business.
- I may reuse my own general code, layouts and know-how for other clients, but never your content or your logo.
- I'll only name you as a client, or show your work in my examples, with your permission.
10. Your customers' data
Some services mean handling personal information about your customers, members or staff on your behalf: for example, messages sent through your website's contact form, details stored in a custom tool, or phone numbers used for missed-call text-back or review-request messages. For data protection law you're the “controller” and I'm your “processor”. Where this applies, we'll both sign a short data processing agreement before anything goes live. In it, I agree to:
- use the information only to run your service, following your written instructions;
- keep it secure and confidential;
- use only the service providers listed in the agreement, under terms that protect the data;
- help you respond if someone asks about their data;
- tell you without undue delay if something goes wrong with the data;
- delete or return the data within 30 days of the service ending, unless the law says I must keep it.
This website itself uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. See the privacy notice.
11. Reviews
- I show only genuine reviews on your website, with links to where they were left, and follow each review site's rules on how its reviews may be shown.
- Review requests go to all your customers. I don't filter out customers who might be unhappy, and nobody is offered anything in return for a review, because both can break UK consumer law on fake and misleading reviews.
- Every review request says how to opt out (reply STOP), and opt-outs are respected.
- I will never write, invent, edit or buy reviews, for you or for me.
12. What I can and can't promise
- I'll do the work with reasonable care and skill, and fix anything that's my fault promptly at no extra cost.
- I can't promise any number of enquiries, customers or search rankings.
- Some services depend on other providers (hosting, phone networks, printers, Google). Very occasionally they have problems outside my control. The monthly check is there to spot problems with your website.
13. Liability
- I'm not responsible for loss of profit, business or work, or for problems caused by things outside my reasonable control.
- My total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid me in the 12 months before the problem happened.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Complaints
If you're not happy, please tell me through the contact form or by email. I'll reply within 5 working days and try to put things right.
15. Changes to these terms
If I change these terms, I'll tell clients on a monthly plan by email at least 30 days before the change. If a change is worse for you, you can cancel before it takes effect.
16. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
